An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, senior finance professional to join the Finance team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital as Deputy Director of Finance- Financial Strategy and Planning.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Trust is a large and complex organisation, we are one of the busiest Trusts in the country and carry out nearly one million outpatient appointments, day case procedures and inpatient admissions annually across Norfolk and North Suffolk. We also treat referred patients from further afield who come to access our specialist services including: oncology and radiotherapy, neonatology, trauma and orthopaedics and many others.

After the successful appointment of our Director of Finance - Operations, we are looking for a suitable candidate to further support the finance function as the Trust continues to develop and grow.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with either a Master's degree in a relevant subject area or the equivalent experience. You should be able to evidence continuous professional and personal development as well as have extensive experience at a senior level in a large and complex organisation. You will have a good understanding of the wider NHS agenda, with extensive experience in successful financial planning and management, building positive relationships at all levels and will possess the ability to operate in a highly regulated setting.

This role involves working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance Operations to assist with the development of the Trust's long-term financial model, the financial plan and budget (including supporting the delivery of financial targets) and leading on the development of the financial aspects of the Trust's strategic business cases.

We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to engage and influence staff across disciplines; you should be analytical, flexible and have the experience and ability to lead and manage a large team whilst remaining committed to personal and professional development.

As a senior leader within the Trust, you will be expected to advocate, exemplify and commit to act as a role model, by championing the NNUH PRIDE values.
