We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of HR to join our team in the Bedford office.

We are looking for an experienced senior HR professional to provide leadership and management to the Employee Relations service across the Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing best practice HR, influencing key business decisions to ensure the effective management of the Employee Relation Team and utilising staff to best benefit our patients and HR service.

Key responsibilities:
  • You will work with the Head of HR and the wider Employee Relations team to deliver the strategic employee relations elements of the Trust's Workforce Strategy
  • Expert knowledge of HR, Employment Legislations and ER processes.
  • Confidently able to coach, support, mentor, train and develop managers in HR policy and practice.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of managing a high performance team with Excellent leadership skills to meet the demanding services.

The ability to travel across the 6 STP regions, as required, is essential and work in partnership with the Sector Heads and Trade unions. The post holder will need to provide expert HR advice where required, including providing advice on relevant employment law and legislation.
