Deputy Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing and Clinical Lead:

We are offering a fantastic opportunity, for a highly experiencedSpecialist Occupational Health Adviser, with a recognised qualification in this speciality, to join our supportive and dynamic, multidisciplinary team atHampshire County Council. This will be a 6-month fixed term contract, and an ability to start immediately is required. The role is subject to Police Vetting.

Our team comprises Occupational Health advisers, wellbeing advisers, screening technicians, fitness advisers and an administration team, with a contracted-in Occupational Health Physician provision. We provide a service to a diverse working population including Hampshire County Council and its schools, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and Hampshire Constabulary

Your role will be asClinical Lead, supporting theHead of Servicein delivering a qualityOccupational Health Service.

About you

You will be an Adult Nurse (RN1) level 1 or a Mental Health Nurse (RN3) level 1. You will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Health, and preferably be on part 3 of the NMC register.
You will have a proven ability to manage individuals and teams, and to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across diverse organisations. An enthusiastic team player, with excellent communication skills, you will be motivated and have good IT skills. Knowledge of Cohort software would also be advantageous.
