Kantar has been awardedanaudience measurement contract to deliver audience data for TV viewing, online video and online browsing to the Dutch Media industry. This will be delivered using a national panel of households, in which metering technology is installed on TV sets and home networks.

Therefore, we have a vacancy for a DevOps Manager. Thefocusof this role is to maintain the SLA's agreed with our clients to deliver data by a given time,every day. Meeting these SLA's requires team direction and constant performance monitoring of IT hardware and software infrastructure, data production, upgrading when necessary, to meet changing demands.As a DevOps Manager you will also lead a team of 5 people.

  • Managing the teamtodeliveroutstanding performance considering backup and security standards forassuringbusiness continuityand complyingclientcontracts.
  • The daily handling of data returned by meters installed in panel homes, processing that data to produce the output files for theclients.The data coming fromTV ecosystem and broadbandinfrastructurefrom panellist homeneed to be processedand delivered according toKantarstandardsandclient contracts.
  • Measurement system in Netherlands aims to provide integrated datafrom TV, Internet, andRadio mediums. Radio andpart of online datasets will be provided by other companies butwillbe controlled and integratedby Kantar to providefinalprocessed data sets. Therefore,production manager needs tosupervise and monitorthe data flowsfrom different partiesand ensurethe quality and timing of the input and output data.

Ongoing tasks for the team include

Data Processing & Integrity
  • Operation of Internally developed Linuxand Windows-basedcloud systems
  • Ensuring data integrity andtimelydelivery to clients

Systems Maintenanceand monitoring
  • Monitoring cloud based interconnected systems run online (24/7) onHive,Elastic search, Kibana,RabbitMqueue, dockers, Azure blob storage
  • Routine housekeeping of the system (backups etc) and system administration.
  • Responding to data queries from system users
  • Support for reference site where streamers and A/V tuners operate on a 24/7 basis.
  • Liaison withcentral support staff as necessary

You bring
  • Line management or ideally team management experience in data processing environment where data integrity is essential.
  • Cloud systems management according to SLAs in client contract
  • Data analysis, QC and management skills for organizing the work of the team.

Knowledge Required
  • Knowledge on cloud computing, micro services,andcontainer technologieswhich conveys Linux systems,Elastic search, Kibana,RabbitMqueue, dockers, Azure blob storage, Hive
  • Experience onAzure PaaS Cloud, Hive, monitoring, supervision, security, disaster recovery
  • Experience of Oracle administration and some experience of SQL.
  • Good understanding on the web core technologies (network, web sites, video streaming, browsers) and TV and Broadcast delivery
