Digital Marketing Apprentice

Contract: Fixed Term for 18 months, working 35 hours per week

Salary: £18,928 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working

Location: Manchester

Are you considering a career in social media, creating content like films and podcasts, or writing? Are you highly organised and pay close attention to detail? Do you want to earn while you learn?

We're looking for a Digital Marketing Apprentice to support our Marketing team as we work to shout about the funding artists can apply for, the support available to help cultural organisations improve how they work, and why public funding of creativity and culture is so important.

This is an 18-month apprenticeship, and you will work towards the Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship qualification. This is an entry-level role, and you don't need prior work experience or to be familiar with the creative and cultural sector. Candidates with a degree or higher-level qualification won't be considered.

As our Digital Marketing Apprentice, you can expect to:
  • look after our digital marketing channels, including monitoring social media, updating the website and sending e-newsletters
  • write, create and proof content for our digital marketing channels
  • create reports on how our digital marketing channels are performing, gathering statistics and coming up with conclusions about what's working well and what can be done differently
  • help make sure our communications and digital marketing channels are accessible to everyone
  • build relationships with different people, including colleagues in other teams across the Arts Council and suppliers like designers and proofers
To get the most out of this apprenticeship, you'll be a friendly and enthusiastic person who is eager to learn and get involved. You'll be a hard worker who is really organised and pays close attention to detail, and you'll have a proven passion for social media and digital content or channels.

Disabled, D/deaf and/or neurodivergent people, those from Black, Asian, and Ethnically Diverse backgrounds are underrepresented in our workforce so we particularly encourage applications from people in these groups.

About us:

Arts Council offers a range of benefits to our employees including hybrid and flexible working, a generous annual leave allowance and the Arts Council Retirement Plan - a final salary scheme. To find out more, click here.
