Our vision is to be More than TV, building upon ITV’s unique and winning combination of creativity and commercial strength, driven by investment in data and technology.  Our ITV Commercial team is responsible for bringing in the £1.9bn worth of advertising that helps fund ITV's programming.  However, our Commercial team isn’t just about advertising sales jobs, we also have ITV Creative Partnerships who is responsible for building brand activations around ITV programmes and channels using TV sponsorships, secondary programme partnerships, content, product placement and digital integrations to build advertising campaigns for ITV’s clients. We are looking for a Digital Partnerships Controller to join our Creative Partnerships team.

ITV is adapting its strategy to reflect the dynamic, global market for TV by being a digitally led entertainment and media company that creates and brings brilliant content to audiences, wherever, whenever and however they choose. This exciting new role reports into the Director of Digital and Creative Partnerships, and will work with the Creative Partnerships Controller and the Sponsorship Controller to deliver the ITV Commercial Partnership Targets. 


 Working across some of the biggest digital players in the business, you’ll establish commercial parameters for working with non-ITV platforms in commercialisation of content, including leading the relationships with Twitter, Global/Dax, main partnerships contact for Youtube, Commercial contact on Facebook and Consult/Lead in relation to other new platforms e.g. TikTok, Snap.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships and build up an understanding of non-ITV platforms from a content partnerships perspective - e.g. twitter, Global/DAX, YouTube, Facebook, Snap, TikTok and other emerging or established digital platforms 

  • Create commercial frameworks and parameters for operating on non-ITV platforms including negotiation of annual monetisation agreements

  • Commercial / Partnerships lead on cross departmental projects e.g. ITV Shorts, Shoppable Content

  • Partnerships lead on ITV owned platforms e.g. the Hub, show companion apps and websites: identifying commercial viability of editorial content solutions; creating new ad and partnership opportunities; work with the Hub team on non-linear content prioritisation

  • Work closely with Digital Editorial teams across all genres e.g. Sport; Entertainment; Reality; Soaps; Weather; etc

  • Work with broader Creative Partnerships team to scope digital aspects of a partnerships campaign including setting costing guidance;

  • Support the Partnership & Sales teams to sell through Creative Partnership campaigns from a digital perspective;

  • Manage the P&L for Digital Partnerships and work with the Sponsorship Controller and Creative Partnerships Controller on the overall Partnerships P&L;

  • Seek out innovations within the digital space for ITV to explore as potential Creative Partnership solutions.

The successful candidate will have the following key skills:-

  • Strong understanding of TV/Digital/Media landscape

  • Extensive experience of ATL advertising campaigns including social & digital content solutions for advertisers.

  • Strong experience and knowledge of advertising campaigns

  • Experience working in partnership with all or one of the following:- Twitter, Facebook or Youtube is desirable

  • Strong project management skills 

  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Clear evidence of successfully crafting solutions and pitching ideas to clients and agencies

  • Proven ability to self-motivate, work independently and work collaboratively

  • Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills

  • Experience with data and analytics – experience working with analytics / business intelligence teams to answer business questions with data, and drawing insights and recommendations from data

  • Media industry experience preferred but not essential

  • Creative and innovative thinking to drive new ideas
