Location: Richmond

Contract type: Fixed-term or contract

About us:

We are people against dirty, the people behind method and ecover. We’ve always done things differently. We are fearless thinkers, mad scientists and adventurous designers who believe making soap leads to brave ideas, bold inventions and beautiful bubbles. We are small but we have big plans to make the world a cleaner, greener, more colourful place. We think about cleaning as an act of creative expression, a gesture of rebellion, and, yes, an escape from the normal. We take cleaning seriously – but not ourselves. We invite everyone to join us as we pioneer a future where doing business is doing good for all.

What’s the role?

Based at The Ministry of Clean in Richmond (but currently from home), we’re hunting for a DTC Business Lead/Intraprenuer to build out a completely new Direct To Consumer business that leads the way with pioneering innovation and state of the art consumer engagement.

This role will:
  • Set the DTC strategy : helping to craft the role of DTC over time and develop a DTC plan for our individual brands, and our company at large.
  • Lead innovation for ecommerce with a test and learn mentality
  • Build and run the platform – by leading, engaging and managing all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Run the DTC business: Consumer acquisition, conversation, lifetime marketing, customer data marketing

Experience we need :

This is a hands-on role where strong leadership, innovation and influence will be required. You’ll be leading across our business and partnering with our leadership team to set our direction. You’ll need to be a digital native, with a strong, proven background in leading DTC strategy within Consumer Goods.
  • You’ll have had strong experience within e-commerce / DTC
  • You’ll have the experience in building and optimising a platform
  • You’ll have the necessary experience running an online business (ideally you will have set up an online business yourself – whether professionally or as a hobby).
  • You’ll have strong experience of product development & launching innovation
  • You will know how to operate and get things done within a matrixed FMCG company
  • You’ll be experienced partnering with leadership teams and across different functional teams – engaging others and taking them on the journey with you

It’s a big, beautiful, colourful world out there and we should celebrate that. That’s why we’re working hard to be a fully diverse and inclusive place to work. Every day we strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued, listened to, supported and where we can do our best work. Sure, there’s always more that can be done. But together with our team, partners, customers and community, we can make everyone welcome.
