Facebook is seeking a Director Global Business Group (GBG) Germany to lead a sales team who enable fast growing, large direct clients and agencies to achieve exceptional results through understanding their business objectives and matching them to the ideal Facebook advertising solutions. In addition to developing a high-performing team, you will be responsible for working with other teams across Facebook to identify future growth opportunities for clients and help them expand. This is a senior leadership role as part of our Central European region. Ideally, you will have a proven track record in leading high performing sales teams and have an excellent ability to coach, develop and motivate team members while growing their careers. You will also have a passion for identifying the key business objectives and helping existing clients and agency partners succeed and thereby grow revenue, have experience in creating and delivering excellent sales operations and have strong experience representing an organisation both internally and externally. Success in this position requires you to have a passion for leadership, strong analytical skills, a focus on client consulting and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment with a passion for helping others achieve results. This position is full-time and located in our Dublin, Ireland office and will focus on the growth and support of our mid-market German clients and agencies.

Director Global Business Group (GBG), Germany Responsibilities


  • Coach, develop and lead a high-performing team of Sales Managers and team members who work directly with multi-vertical clients and/or agencies

  • Develop a people strategy and coach managers to sustainably find, grow and keep the best current and future talent and provide career progression.

  • Create a strong shared vision in a fast moving environment and foster a sense of belonging and collaboration, extending to cross-functional teams

  • Structure, help negotiate, and manage long-term relationships with partners and ensure clients derive the maximum value from Facebook's advertising solutions, driving growth across your portfolio.

  • Develop Sales strategy for your team in collaboration with the CE Regional Director, your EMEA and in market counterparts and work with direct reports on short and long-term priorities for executing, measuring and sharing results that help clients grow.

  • Provide business analytic strength to help facilitate initiatives critical to ongoing growth at market and regional levels.

  • Represent the Global Business Group with industry organisations, in the press, and with other Facebook teams.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Significant experience in building, leading and inspiring sales teams

  • Experience in growing long-term commercial partnership and build sales pipeline at scale, through hands on sales coaching

  • Success in this position requires a passion for leadership, strong analytical skills, a focus on enabling client growth, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to speak and write German and English fluently

  • BA/BS degree from a leading academic institution

Preferred Qualifications


  • MBA or Master's degree.

  • Track record in finding, growing and keeping members of a high performing, enthusiastic Sales team for the German market

  • Ability to remove obstacles for sales teams at scale and escalate product or workflow asks at VP level regionally or globally.

  • Commercial acumen for first hand coaching and role-modelling of multi-level relationships building and consultative sales to create long-term partnerships with clients.

  • Analytical skills, ability to investigate performance, develop actionable insights and galvanize action to capture opportunities.
