We have a strong enterprise electronic patient record (EPR) which sits at the very heart of the Trust digital footprint.

The role of ICT Director is pivotal to the success of the digital strategy and so we are looking for a driven, exceptional candidate who is excited by daily challenges and thrives in a busy and ever-changing environment. This post will have lead management responsibility for the provision of professional IT solutions including systems development, implementation, IT support services, and strategic planning of future IT requirements for the organisation to enhance clinical and corporate services.

The post holder will provide strategic and professional leadership on information technology projects and developments, you will bring an enthusiasm and passion along with considerable experience as the lead expert for all aspects of IT infrastructure and have senior management responsibility for the monitoring, support, maintenance, and security of multiple information systems.

You will have good person management skills and be able to lead a large team to deliver a strong service to the trust.

You will be able to support the digitalisation agenda and data sharing collaborations globally, to further effective research and care across the world.

You will be responsible for agreeing and managing a number of large contracts so will have a strong commercial ability to influence key contracts and develop excellent relationships with external bodies.

As the successful candidate, you will have strong core values in line with those at GOSH and a strong track record of leadership and delivery in the areas above. You will possess the ability to understand and translate how technology will enable the unique needs of GOSH to provide the best possible care for children whilst researching and developing new medicine and treatments, working successfully and comfortably with staff at all levels and from any professional discipline. Finally, you will bring a high level of expertise and charismatic leadership to the department, and a passion for supporting the goals and ambitions of this world leading hospital.
