We are Onward, a leading provider of quality and affordable homes for rent, shared ownership, and sale. We own and manage over 35,000 homes and are one of the largest registered providers of social housing based solely in the Northwest of England.To help fulfil our ambitions we are looking for a highly motivated; customer focussed and technically skilled individual to join our Senior Leadership Team in the newly created role of Director of Onward Repairs.Onward Repairs, provides day-to-day repairs and void works, gas servicing and out of hours service to our customers in Lancashire.  We have been listening to our customers and have ambitious plans for the growth of Onward Repairs to deliver a high-quality first-time fix maintenance service that is built around our customers across all our regions.

This high-profile and very visible senior leadership role will report to the Executive Director of Growth. In this new role you will provide inspirational leadership and develop a highly skilled professional team that consistently delivers an excellent service to our customers. You will also develop a robust business and resource plan ensuring effective value for money is delivered through our supply chain, as well as playing a key role in influencing the shape of our future maintenance service.

With strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills, you will bring significant leadership experience from a similarly complex and fast-paced environment, with the ability to influence and direct change effectively. With a keen eye on delivering great service, you will have experience of an operational maintenance or facilities management organisation, with demonstrable knowledge of resourcing, supply chain management and delivering effectively through lean and innovative thinking.

Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to continuously identify opportunities to improve our performance and deliver value for money.   You will also have the opportunity to attend board, committee, and external meetings.
