Overview and Responsibilities:

We are searching for a Director of Procurement Analytics who will be responsible for managing the collection and analysis of enterprise-wide Procurement data in support the company's efforts to control and reduce external spending and deliver on its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals! The ideal candidate is a self-starter, with excellent communication and technical skills and attention to detail, who can take ownership of the reporting process, including data collection, manipulation, warehousing, and data quality. The individual will also own the ongoing design, creation and production of standard reports and dashboards that lead to effective decision making and ultimately increased efficiency, using a combination of automated data manipulation and visual analytics.

By having access to the entire stack of data elements and stakeholders, the Procurement Analytics Director will also have a unique opportunity to 'connect the dots' and assist in the process of identifying savings/ESG opportunities and turning strategy into deliverables. Therefore, helping deliver real-world results by collaborating with the various operational and corporate functions or leading projects when appropriate.

This role reports to the VP of Finance & Analytics and is a highly visible, customer facing, opportunity with room for growth!
Spend Visibility
  • Manage the enterprise-wide spend reporting process to provide timely and accurate data for identification of savings and efficiency opportunities, and assessment of any supply base risk.
  • Champion our spend visibility platform and its adoption among category leaders and sourcing managers. This includes assisting in the customization of standard dashboards and reporting to best serve the needs of individual users.
  • Lead the maintenance of the spend visibility platform including the quality of the data categorization, supplier name harmonization, tracking of preferred suppliers, diverse supplier status, ongoing data refresh cycles and implementation of process improvements.
Dashboards and Reporting
  • Develop and track performance metrics for the sourcing function and the supply base. This includes but is not limited to the requisition-to-payment process, supplier performance, supplier diversity, and savings/value capture.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key personnel in the operating Divisions and Corporate staff, to assist in efforts to aggregate and leverage total enterprise spend.
  • Research, adopt and implement best-in-class tools, processes and automation to improve results while managing complexity.
  • The position requires excellent initiative and the ability to envision, develop, and implement analytical offerings with a focus on advancing projects and driving results.
Sourcing Strategies and Category Support
  • Development of multi-year sourcing plans and our ongoing sourcing project pipeline by providing appropriate levels of data process and developing strategies for managing spend/commodity areas, in collaboration with other Sourcing management and Division management.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests in support of specific projects and other operational deliverables.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required - business or operational background is preferred; MBA a plus.
  • Proficient with Excel and with Business Intelligence tools is highly preferred (i.e. Tableau, DOMO, Qlik, Looker, Alteryx, SAS, etc.)
  • Minimum of 8 years of proven technical proficiency with procurement systems and processes (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle, P2P, Purchasing, eSourcing, dashboards and reporting)
  • A minimum of 6 years demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization on shaping and completing data analytics solutions
  • Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Financial savvy
Additional Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Continuous improvement or Six Sigma methodology experience a plus
  • Experience interacting with and influencing senior leadership levels across the organization.
  • High motivation and strong work ethic
