We're looking for a Divisional Deputy Manager to provide support to the Trust.

We have long term placement opportunities available for a Divisional Deputy Manageravailable at Watford General Hospital.

This is a temporary, full time role for around 2 months and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00.

Watford General Hospital is at the heart of the Trust's acute emergency services - the core location for inpatient emergency care, and for all patients who need the specialist emergency facilities (such as intensive care) of a major district general hospital. It also provides elective care for higher risk patients together with a full range of outpatient and diagnostic services. There are approximately 600 beds and nine theatres (including one local theatre).

Do you have the following skills ...?
  • Expert knowledge of Theatres, Anaesthetics and ICU performance targets
  • Understanding of medical staffing and rota issues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A good understanding of Integrated Discharge working
  • A good understanding of patient flow within the acute bed base
  • Experience in an acute NHS organisation, including Theatres, ICU and Anaesthetics
  • Effective Budget Management.
  • Experience of using numerical analysis in problem solving.
  • Experience of eliciting feedback from patients & carers & of incorporating this in the planning, delivery & evaluation of services
  • Experience of problem solving and application of project management skills
  • Experience of service improvement and writing business cases
