GLA Economics' analysis and advice informs key investment decisions at the Greater London Authority (GLA). The GLA requires high quality economic analysis and advice to ensure that the strategies we develop and the projects we deliver are based on sound evidence.

This role provides an opportunity to work within GLA Economics' Microeconomic Team. The role covers GLAE's long-term labour market modelling which underpins elements of the Mayor's London Plan as well as other Mayoral strategies and policies. The successful candidate will also work across a breadth of other labour market topics as well as in fields such as land use and business. The work will involve both long-term analytical projects and meeting short-term demands for analysis, engaging closely with economists and colleagues from across the GLA.

You will have a professional qualification in Economics, or a related degree with an analytical focus, and a proven capacity to develop and deliver high-quality analytical projects to inform and influence policy development through evidence. You will also have strong numeracy skills, ideally with experience of undertaking technical/economic modelling. It would be advantageous to have familiarity with statistical software packages such as R or Python.
