Skanska is searching for a dynamic Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Project Safety Manager in the Seattle market. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall working conditions compliance with local and corporate occupational safety and health regulations and procedures. As a Skanska EHS Project Safety Manager, you will observe workers to determine use of prescribed and proper safety equipment, such as glasses, helmets, respirators, fall protection and clothing. EHS Project Safety ManagerPrimary Responsibilities:
  • Directs and administers specific functions of the EHS program at the company or project level;
  • Creates, evaluates, educates, and administers the EHS program for all levels of employees;
  • Conducts surveys, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities without supervision
  • Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of EHS standards
  • Direct and supervise the activities of subordinates
EHS Project Safety ManagerKey Attributes:
  • 3-5 years of construction industry EHS experience
  • Bi-lingual is a huge plus
  • Broad understanding of the industry
  • Holder of an OSHA 30 hour certificate
  • CSP Certification is a huge plus
