DESCRIPTION

Innovation is part of our DNA! Our goal is to be Earths' most customer centric company and we are just getting started. We need people who want to join an innovative program that continues to advance the status quo and impacts the daily lives of our customers. If you enjoy being an inventor and you want to join a fast-past, innovative team that is making history, this is the place for you.

Our team is seeking an EHS Program Manager to support the operation team in playing a critical role in creating, implementing, and reviewing EHS programs (standards, procedures, best practices) that will function as the foundation of all Amazon operations in EU Operations.

YOUR CHARACTERISTICS

You're an innovative and motivated EHS leader and you like working with people in the field to improve processes and EHS performance. You thrive working in a flexible, ambiguous, ever-growing environment in which handling multiple projects and priorities is the norm. You excel at solving problems, developing processes and improving them. You're detail oriented. You understand when to own a decision and when to get input from others. You're entrepreneurial and love start-ups: you like to build things from scratch. No road map? No problem. You'll figure it out. You have a strong bias for action; you're self-starting, tenacious, and results-oriented. You're willing to get started to do whatever is necessary to meet team goals. You are an articulate, persuasive communicator and a good writer. You have experience of high-quality performance and have good judgment and high standards. People trust and respect you and they like to work with you.
This role will also require the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.
The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex logistics challenges and possess a bias for action to get things done and deliver results.

THE ROLE

You will work with both the corporate and field leadership along with the associates, building and deploying EHS programs and standard operating procedures, and ensuring our customers and associates have a safe experience when visiting or working with us. You will understand the hazards that can impact associates, as well as appreciate our customer obsession as we innovate our business. You will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, growing, flexible business environment, supported by your leadership team. You should have excellent ownership, and solid leadership engagement skills.
You have to exhibit professional communication and influencing skills with Senior Business Leaders, Field Operations Leaders, and Tech stakeholders. You will be proficient at solving complex logistics tasks and possess a bias for action to get things done and deliver results.

The ideal candidate will work across teams to gain alignment, develop, and implement a common plan across multiple stakeholders. This requires working effectively with all business partners to ensure the delivery and execution of EHS programs. Cross-team coordination, project management, and great communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential. To work effectively in the role, the candidate would be required to develop a deep understanding of the organization's commitment to supporting the associates, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the organization in order to solve complex business problems and implement fit-for-purpose programs to deliver the highest standards. The suitable candidate is also one that has a record of accomplishment delivering projects in creative business organizations, and one who has program management experience.
