Electrical, Automation and Safety Inspector - Finland

To enable Corporate Shipbuilding to be the centre of excellence we aspire to be, we are looking for an Electrical, Automation and Safety Inspector will play a pivotal role in the production and delivery of the new vessels. This role will work as part of an organised site team located at the various shipyards or alternative construction site subcontracted by the shipyard.
The Inspector is required to provide supervision of all installation works and commissioning of equipment related to electrical/electronic systems and equipment including, with specific knowledge of:
- Power generation,
- Electrical/electronic systems, including hull equipment, ships automation and safety systems
- Development and verification of relevant communication and interfaces protocols, hotel equipment, data networks
- Navigation, SRtP, LES and marine electrical propulsion systems including converter and motor technology and their application to the design of ships systems and machinery
- Any other system or equipment as mentioned in the ships specification, ensuring that all aspects of these systems are inspected, verified and functionally tested to meet the design parameters and contractual requirements
The inspector will ensure that all the equipment and systems comply with the requirements of the specification, and the equipment and systems and comply with the manufacturers recommended planned maintenance and installation procedures.
They are required to work closely together with the Owners representatives performing joint visits, discussions and resolving issues, providing regular updates to ensure the installation and finishing will meet the design intent and Owners expectation.
Experience is required working in a similar role for subcontractors, shipyard, material supplier, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
