About the role

Tesco Maintenance are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Group Service Manager role to cover the North / South of the UK. This role will cover a broad spectrum of requirements, where your Technical Electrical background will be clearly evidenced through your delivery. At Tesco, our stores and offices couldn't function without the support of our Maintenance Team. The role is an integral part of this team, supporting a multi-skilled team to deliver exceptional service to customers across the wider business. Working collaboratively with Group Maintenance Managers and Group Service Managers, the role helps to ensure the business is able to continue to deliver its promise of serving Britain's shoppers a little better every day.

You will be responsible for
  • Being a custodian and leader of Health and Safety.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
  • Putting community, customer and colleague's welfare at the heart of everything we do.
  • Ensuring electrical safety standards are maintained to the highest level across the estate at all times.
  • Delivering positive change across business areas to consistently deliver performance and improve productivity.
  • Building effective relationships and communication channels across all functions and with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain the structure of competent and authorised persons who will be responsible for application of the electrical code of practice across the estate (ECoPs).
  • Supporting Qualified Supervisors, Authorised Persons (Electrical) and Duty Holder's in delivering current and future electrical infrastructure improvement strategies.
  • Carry out internal auditing of QS activities and ensure unified approach to best practice.
  • Forecasting requirements for technical solutions effectively, always being cost and quality conscious.
  • Managing contractor's performance to ensure statuary requirements and Tesco specifications are adhered to.
  • Collaborating with the wider business to ensure technical solutions are truly co-developed and owned at a local level.
  • Supporting the field service delivery teams with technical and project related requirements.
  • Managing workload and capacity whilst delivering innovative solutions to improve the electrical infrastructure (HV & LV)
  • Report on the performance of compliance with electrical legislation and standards, including competence, configuration and work control, driving continuous improvements.
  • Ensure communication is maintained with other relevant disciplines across the company.
  • Driving problem solving, identifying key issues / opportunities and developing effective solutions.
  • Supporting the development of peers within your technical discipline.
  • Ability to work automatously and without direct supervision.

  • Experience with a maintenance based management system such as:Verisae
  • Capacity planning and resource management
  • Delivering service and quality to agreed KPIs
