Summary

Our Global Security organization is comprised of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. Our mission is to keep the things that we value safe and secure while protecting the people, assets, and reputation of Facebook. We protect the people of Facebook by creating a safe and secure environment for our culture to flourish. From buildings and servers, to prototypes and ideas, we ensure Facebook's physical and intellectual assets are safe and secure and make informed decisions to protect Facebook's reputation.

The ideal candidate will be a proven IP protection professional with a passion for corporate security, protecting secrets, and excels at managing a multi-disciplinary team in the EMEA region. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and quality control of strategic programs that mitigate risk to the business verticals in the EMEA region. This is a very collaborative and cross-functional role that partners closely with many Facebook internal cross functional teams, Global Security teammates and external security service providers for success.

Required Skills

  • Develop a deep understanding of the global business and build strategic relationships with cross functional partners (XFN) to define and integrate security into programs and project roadmaps
  • Interpret the customer's vision, balancing security needs/requirements in order to facilitate the necessary and appropriate IP protection services while enabling the speed of the business
  • Manage a team that conducts intellectual property risk assessments relating to physical security and secure processes on various projects, products and other areas of concern
  • Compile and present the results of these assessments by developing, documenting and communicating associated risk mitigation plans, working both with the external customer and internally with a broad cross functional security team
  • Provide subject matter expertise to all stakeholders involved throughout the planning, execution, and maintenance phases of Intellectual Property Protection support
  • Manage a team of global professionals ensuring the team's strategy, vision, and culture is carried out across all IP Protection domains
  • Manage and maintain the overall risk and security posture for the most sensitive and confidential projects within a global organization
  • Manage and/or conduct elevated risk vendor security reviews/audits with cross functional teams
  • Provide guidance to the business on security language development for training, confidential projects, operations, business contracts, corporate policy and overall best practices for employees and vendors
  • Be recognized as the SME for security in the IP Protection space within Facebook EMEA


Minimum Qualification

  • 8+ years of relevant experience or B.A. preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with building and maintaining relationships with external business partners & vendors
  • Highly motivated, proven leader that can effectively work with a global team
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills that drive results
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays and to handle on-call responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to travel (including internationally) with little notice to accomplish assignments and responsibilities
  • Outstanding customer service, communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills and comprehension of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualification

  • Experience and knowledge in the technology field supporting security of intellectual property
  • Experience and knowledge of the product development process for in demand consumer
  • Project Management Professional Certification, Six Sigma Certification, or Lean+ experience
  • Experience and knowledge of AEO, TAPA and other industry and/or government security programs
  • Experience working with brand protection, confidentiality operations, trade secret programs, etc.
