The Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Planning Team is developing and seeking to recruit an Emergency Planning Officer (EPO) to support the Emergency Planning & Resilience Manager to deliver plans, policies and training for all EPRR requirements across the Trust.

The successful applicant will be joining the trust at an exciting time. We received a rating of Outstanding from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2019, which truly reflects the organisation's vision to provide high quality and safe care to the local population, alongside this we are the HSJ Trust of the Year and have also been awarded full compliance for the EPRR Core Standards. We are keen to hear from individuals that share our leadership values; being authentic, taking responsibility, embracing changes and working together.

Working in an emergency planning environment and supported by the Emergency Planning & Resilience Manager, the post holder will assist in the delivery of plans, policies and training to be undertaken by senior leaders within the Trust

The successful applicant will also support our Incident Co-Ordination Centre with regards to the Trusts response of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skill, be positive and proactive and be a flexible individual who is able to manage competing demands, priorities and deadlines. They will be required to use their initiative to identify their own and the team's priorities and communicate these in a structured way.

In return, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic team and organisation who is dedicated to supporting and implementing changes which make a difference to our patients, carers and staff.

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to several prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire etc.

It is our vision to be a leading provider of outstanding, compassionate care. Our most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection recognised this with an 'Outstanding' rating overall, as well as an 'Outstanding' rating for the Caring domain. Applicants will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding compassionate care and also commit to the Trust mission statement: Making a difference for you, with you. Our vision, mission and values are all part of the roadmap for all we do

Don't just take our word for it: In 2018, 72.2% of our staff recommended NHFT as a place to work, the highest score for trusts of our type. We were also honoured to win the Health Service Journal's coveted Trust of the Year award the same year.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CORRESPONDENCE FOLLOWING YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE MADE VIA EMAIL AND THE TRAC RECRUITMENT SYSTEM . If you do not hear from us by four weeks after the closing date then you may assume that on this occasion unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
