Endoscopy Administration Supervisor (Booking Team)

Job Reference: 321-SWR-ENDO-BT-SUP-B4

Employer: Department: Endoscopy Location: John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Salary: £21,892 - £24,157 per annum pro rata

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use V alue Based Interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significant difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

The JR Endoscopy department currently has an exciting opportunity for an Admin Supervisor. The post would be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain the relevant experience and knowledge required for the next step in their career.

The Admin Supervisor plays a crucial role in the administrative function within this busy Endoscopy unit, with oversight over the booking of endoscopy procedures in line with national targets, providing assistance with validation processes and monitoring of the PTL.

There are supervisory and training responsibilities for a sub-team within Endoscopy and cross cover with the other Endoscopy Supervisors in the department.

There is a requirement for close work with the clinical teams, other hospital departments and external organisations to ensure a smooth pathway for patients.

We are looking for a driven, compassionate and hard-working individual who is able to communicate well with colleagues and patients. NHS experience would be preferable.

This vacancy is for full time hours (37.5 hrs/week) Monday - Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work dependent upon the needs of the service.

Closing Date: 15th Oct 2020

Interviews are provisionally planned for: TBC
