This challenging and rewarding position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic qualified electricaltechnician to work within the Engineering Department for Reach Printing Services Watford.

The successful candidate will report into the Engineering Team Leader initially on a day rota andthen onto a shift rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing faults, breakdown problems, troubleshooting all machinery and equipment
  • Flexible working approach.
  • Liaising with other engineering and production colleagues.
  • Working to Health & Safety standard; Safety policies and procedures and making improvements.
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Continuous Improvement.


The Ideal Candidate
  • A recognised electrical apprenticeship to ONC/HNC level or equivalent
  • Experience in work on 3 phase & low voltage complex process /manufacturing equipment
  • Experience of working with Motors/DC drives/Inverters/PLC's/PLC control systems/IT control systems
  • Manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience in HV networks advantageous but not essential
  • The successful applicant will activelybe involved in fault finding on production equipment, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • You will be professionally competent and qualified to operate safely in electrical maintenance and repairs to drives, controls, 3 phase and low voltage equipment.
  • We are looking for a self motivated individual who will be proactive, reactive and possess a strong problem solving ability, providing solutions and recommendations.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks/breakdowns is essential as well as carrying out root cause analysis and updating and improving documentation.

Production Equipment

AGV's, Conveyor systems, High speed printing press's ( MANROLAND), Publishing and Inserting equipment (FERAG) , Palletisers (DAN), Cranes, Compressors, Chillers and AHU system.
