Join the Talentino team in London and make a difference to the career outcomes for young people with SEND working with special schools and employers through managing a team of business volunteers - starting in September.


Build the capability of special schools in London so they can deliver high quality career development programmes that result in improved outcomes through effective employer engagement and stakeholder management.


  • Diverse stakeholder management including special schools and employers
  • Line management of 20 volunteers
  • Recruitment, induction, training and retention of volunteers
  • Contribution to whole of London LEAN/CEC team SEND capability
  • Recruitment and retention of special schools in London
  • Facilitating the careers performance of special schools through support with an Enterprise Adviser volunteer
  • Improving special schools performance using the Gatsby Benchmarks as a measure of success
  • Improving career outcomes of young people with SEND in special schools
  • Engaging with employers for the purposes of providing employer engagement activities and as a recruitment source of Enterprise Advisers
  • Supporting Careers Leaders through qualification training
  • Contribute to the SEND Community of Practice for LEAN and the national network
  • Contribute to the Talentino SEND Careers Virtual Festival

  • Frequent travel to special schools around London will be required
  • Experienced recruiter
  • Experienced line manager
  • Knowledge of career development for school age students
  • Experienced relationship builder with diverse stakeholders
  • Business Development / sales processes
  • Demonstrable passion to mitigate the key career challenges facing the achievement of positive career outcomes by young people with SEND


  • Relevant lived experience
  • Experienced in volunteer recruitment
  • Experienced line manager of professional volunteers
  • Knowledge of career development for school age students in special schools
  • Experienced relationship builder with diverse stakeholders including employers and schools
  • Careers Guidance professional
  • Knowledge of Supported Internships/ Inclusive apprenticeships / Supported employment / Job Coaching / Transition / EHC Planning / Local Offer / FE Entry Level courses
  • Knowledge of the National Careers Landscape eg. National Careers Strategy / Statutory Guidance / Gatsby Benchmarks / Compass/Careers and Enterprise Company
  • Marcomms processes

  • Salary £33,000 start in September
