Entertainment Producer - Good Morning Britain
12 Month FTC
London

Are you a producer or journalist who thrives on the buzz of working within a live news environment? Do you have an abundance of contacts and ideas for TV programme content? Can you inform, entertain and enthuse our audience as they begin their day?

If the answer is yes, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our team on Good Morning Britain. As Britain’s most talked about breakfast show, we provide a broad mix of content across news, current affairs, sport and entertainment.

As a Producer, you will be a key member of our busy Entertainment department, tasked with securing exclusives, booking high-profile, topical guests and producing eye-catching showbiz news and content for Richard Arnold.

Working closely with the Head of Entertainment and Deputy Editor Entertainment, you will be responsible for securing exciting, exclusive and topical guests for our daily live show drawing upon  your established list of contacts whilst fostering strong relationships with new and existing PR’s. You’d also be adept at pitching, writing and producing ideas and entertainment content.

As an established journalist, you will have experience of working within a newsroom, with a proven track record of developing stories for transmission or publication. You should know what is trending, hitting headlines and have the ability to pitch guests and write strong briefs for our presenters. You should have great booking skills and a good knowledge of entertainment, current affairs and the issues that matter to our viewers. Production skills would be advantageous and you would be required to set up creative and technical elements of interviews; experience of using Avid and iNews would be beneficial.

So, if you thrive in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same and you possess the journalistic skills that will help us achieve our goals, then we’d love to hear from you.

GMB is on air five days a week. In this role you will work a roster pattern that includes day shifts, night shifts, weekend and bank holiday working as standard.

Closing date for applications: Friday 14th May 2021
