About us:

We are people against dirty, the people behind method and ecover. We’ve always done things differently. We are fearless thinkers, mad scientists and adventurous designers who believe making soap leads to brave ideas, bold inventions and beautiful bubbles. We are small but we have big plans to make the world a cleaner, greener, more colourful place. We think about cleaning as an act of creative expression, a gesture of rebellion, and, yes, an escape from the normal. We take cleaning seriously – but not ourselves. We invite everyone to join us as we pioneer a future where doing business is doing good for all.

What’s the role?

The EU Fragrance Associate is responsible for bringing innovative fragrance solutions to Ecover. As a challenger brand passionate about the environment, it’s imperative that our fragrances reflect these values and push our suppliers to bring disruptive fragrances solutions and technologies to the table. To accomplish this, you will need to closely monitor and utilize marketing and consumer trends in fragrance product development.

This role will also oversee all technical areas of fragrance compliance (stability process, counter typing, regulatory reworks, and problem-solving fragrance quality issues) for Method and Ecover. You must possess the skills of managing both the sensory and scientific facets of our categories (home, dish, laundry, and personal care).

Your passion for fragrance and development will come in handy when liaising with fragrance houses to develop fragrances through the briefing process for the ecover brand. Your fragrance house expertise and technologies will need to leverage for new projects. You must be able to manage expectations and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Having expertise within the fragrance industry (or related field) is preferred, and exceptional olfactive skills is a must. This role will represent the fragrance department within Belgium, with the EU Fragrance Manager being based in the UK. This individual will work in conjunction with formulation, technical services, quality control, regulatory, supply chain, sales, marketing and greenskeeping to bring the right fragrances to our EU brands and consumers.
