This role is being offered on a 6 - 12 month fixed term basis and can be based at any one of our PwC offices nationally.

Working in the Learning and Development (L&D) Risk Design team, reporting to the Technical Lead Author, the Technical Author is responsible for the development of the Risk line of service (LoS) Evolve programme. Evolve is an exciting virtual programme for all Risk Associates through to Partners which is being designed for the first time this year.

A background working in the Risk LoS is preferable but not mandatory. You will be expected to maintain and update your technical expertise, your links with your home business unit, and current engagements as required.

The role

The Risk Technical Author is responsible for applying foundation design skills in conjunction with their technical expertise to develop Evolve training material for virtual delivery. As current client facing practitioners, the authors are the first line of defence to ensure materials are relevant and accurate, however, they will work closely with the appropriate SMEs to support this.

Specifically, they will be responsible for designing and writing learning materials in partnership with experienced L&D professionals within the existing Evolve team. The Technical Author will take part in design workshops, working alongside a third party, to create engaging and unique content for the Risk LoS.

  • Experience working in Risk is preferable but not required
  • A strong interest in Risk is required
  • Strong interest in L&D design and delivery
  • Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as a track record of working professionally and collaboratively as part of a wider-team
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, both in written and verbal form
  • Innovative and creative in approaching new challenges
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Effectively use online collaboration tools e.g. online meetings and Google@Work
  • An experience of tutoring / facilitating RA programmes would be beneficial
