Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides services through its three hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. We provide all general hospital services for planned and emergency care as well as specialist services.

The Ophthalmology Administration Team are currently looking for two enthusiastic candidates for the role of Failsafe Officers.

The post of Failsafe Officer is required to support the Glaucoma and VR service clinical lead and Ophthalmology Operations Manager to:

Oversee the day to day management plans for all Glaucoma VR patients through liaison with clinicians for:
  • Investigations
  • Treatment plan
  • Review and assessments
  • Ongoing treatments
One of the posts will be based at Basingstoke and the other in Winchester.

  • Excellent communication and office management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise daily workload autonomously or as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and experienced in administration
  • Knowledge of RTT and access policy
  • Microsoft Office experience to a high level

The Ophthalmology department provides services across all of the Trust's sites, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Andover War Memorial Hospital and Alton Hospital

Our service provides outpatient, day case and elective services to our patients.
