We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Canberra office. As an Account Manager you will partner with HR Directors and Senior Executive Service level heads of HR to identify opportunities to enhance their people strategies, build and present solutions, close business, manage the growth of new and existing accounts and increase SHL Talent Measurement brand awareness in the market. You will work collaboratively with our consulting team to formulate innovative solutions, driving growth in the territory.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage and act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of high-profile clients, and putting the customer at the heart of all we do
  • Work with clients to translate SHL solutions and service offerings as the best means to meet their HR and people related business challenges and organizationaloutcomes
  • Develop strategic account plans, including activities to increase current solutions, and future diversification within the account portfolio, with the aim of revenue retention and growth
  • Forecast future sales activity and produce monthly activity reports
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships through ongoing education and support in the optimizationof talent assessment and management activities
  • Work with internal SHL stakeholders to make existing SHL processes more efficient
  • Promote the SHL brand in the market
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in the Talent Assessment/ Human Capital Management industry
  • Previous experience working in, or providing services to, the Federal Government or public sector
  • 5+ years sales experience - preferably experience in selling solution or services to Federal Government
  • Degree in Business and/or Industrial/OrganizationalPsychology preferred
  • Knowledge of psychometric assessments/solutions or the ability to articulate the value of competencies and objective assessments throughout the talent lifecycle is preferred
Our Ideal Candidate Also Has:
  • An understanding of strategic HR and the Employee lifecycle, including how Talent Assessment, Talent Managementand Development solutions can drive people and organizationaloutcomes
  • An appreciation for working in a B2B/B2G sales environment, including working to revenue growth targets, activity based performance management practices and a customer centric approach to service and delivery
  • Strong relationship management skills, and demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels, from senior heads of function through to individual "mobilisors"
  • A positive team mindset combined with the ability to manage activity autonomously
  • High level of energy, a keen business acumen, resilience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
