Female Support Worker

Salary: £8.95 -£9.05 per hour (£17,452 -£17,745 per annum)

Location:Aldershot

Hours: Shifts will be allocated Monday- Sunday from 07.30am - 22.00pm. Up to 37.5 hours per week.

**Full UK driving license is essential and the personal confidence to drive anywhere required, not just locally.

At Aldershot Support Service we support six ladies with various disabilities including visual impairment, autism, mental health, learning disabilities and varied physical impairments.

A big part of your role as a support worker will be supporting people to do activities they like and take part in new activities these may include:

Swimming, Horse-riding, Bowling, Cinema/theatre, Trampolining, bike riding, day trips or evening trips to a variety of different places.

As a support worker you will:
  • Provide emotional support to individuals and their families.
  • Provide support for individuals, such as helping with household tasks, any aspect of personal care and paperwork.
  • Assisting with activities, accessing the community and support to health appointments.
  • Support and monitor their healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks.
In this role you may experience behaviours that others could find challenging. With the knowledge and support of the existing team, as well as the appropriate training, you will learn how best to respond to these situations confidently. You will also be required to support some of the ladies with their daily physiotherapy exercises.
