The Field Administrator assists and supports the project team members and is responsible for general administrative duties, including maintaining accurate and complete records of project documents. The position works under direct supervision and performs routine daily administrative activities. This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform front desk/reception duties, including interaction with clients, vendors and employees
  • Coordinate office communications, including routing phone calls, correspondence, mail, packages, deliveries, and calendars
  • Create and laminate signage to support Field Management
  • Ship/order plans and material samples
  • Act as liaison to Superintendent/Foreman (and crew) and Project Management
  • Maintain office supply inventory
  • Maintain office equipment
  • Assist with tidying the common areas of the office
  • Assist with even organization events (community outreach, crew lunch, and birthday celebrations)
  • Order meeting meals
  • Maintain the security of Lost & Found items
  • Photocopy monthly reports as requested
  • Assist in preparation and/or record meeting minutes, as required
  • Assist with processing invoices for meals
  • Assist in maintaining effective relationships with clients, designers, consultants and internal Skanska clients
We're Looking for:
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Functions effectively as part of a team;
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;
  • Good time management and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment and Skanska Safety and Health Management Program.
  • Broad understanding of construction industry.
  • High school degree required;
  • AA Degree or Vocational education preferred;
  • 2-4 years of related administrative experience preferred;
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
