This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be involved in the dynamic world of NHS Finance and Contracting. Joining a small, but very busy team, which is responsible for securing £500 million of clinical income for the Trust each year, the postholder will assist to interpret and implement National Tariff Payment System guidance and support and advise Finance and Care Group Managers with their financial planning and performance monitoring.

Key duties of the role include; obtaining and processing clinical activity data - in order to produce monthly monitoring reports for the Trust's Board of Directors and numerous commissioners using the Service Level Agreement Monitoring (SLAM) system. The postholder will also raise invoices and resolve commissioner queries and challenges in a timely manner, in order to secure both contract and non contract clinical income for the Trust.

We are looking for an experienced finance and contracting professional, who is confident in their ability to handle and analyse large spreadsheets of complex data with speed and accuracy. The successful candidate will also be a conscientious and committed team player, with strong communication skills and a history of providing high quality information to tight timescales. Due to our challenging deadlines and conflicting priorities, the role can involve working flexibly at times. Knowledge of the National Tariff Payment System guidance and experience of using SLAM would be an advantage.

DBS Checks

All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. The charges are currently £27.20 for a standard check and £44.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.
