Financial Report Developer - (1900004G)


Reporting to: Reporting, Planning & Analysis Manager

Main purpose of role: To support the Senior Report Developer in maintaining, enhancing and developing business reporting from our core system

Budgetary / financial responsibility: None

Key relationships:

· Internal - All other support teams in particular Finance, BIS, Leadership, CAPS, BD. All Practice teams

· External – Suppliers; key line of business applications, plus potential new suppliers. User groups, conferences and seminars. Clients for service level delivery, especially in billing and reporting functions.

Key responsibilities:

Enhance & develop reports and management information views using reporting tools such as SSRS.

Work with business users to gather requirements, analyse the problem and provide a optimum solution for their needs

Support the Senior Report Developer in designing and creating reports to support internal and external client requirements

Support user queries and ad hoc requests directed from the Finance team, service desk and change management teams relating to reports within our reporting suite

Setup and manage subscriptions for delivery of reports via email and other channels

Maintain a good technical knowledge of the financial systems used and the various integrations to other practice management systems and external data sources.

Work with suppliers' support teams and relevant user groups to ensure strong product knowledge to meet the overall objective of enabling a professional service to our clients

Observe good data governance, system controls and documentation as per the Firms policies.

Maintain strict adherence to security protocols and best practice.

Ensure that system setup, configuration records & processes are documented and kept up to date.

Any other reasonable duties as required by the Senior Report Developer.


Role specific knowledge:

- Specific expertise in, but not limited to, one or more of the following technologies, tools or solutions;

o SSRS Reporting (2008R2 onwards to 2016)SQL Server database (2008R2 onwards to 2016)TSQL

o Management Studio

o Visual Studio data tools

o Other MI Tools such as Cognos, etc

o Aderant Expert and its affiliated add-in solutions from other suppliers

o IntApp Time and DTE

o IntApp Integrate/Flow
