***An exciting chance to join SHL, the global leader in talent innovation as a Global Pricing Consultant in a newly formed Pricing function. The role will be based in SHL's headquarters in Thames Ditton, London. There is scope for an element of remote working if required***

The Role

Through detailed pricing analysis and insight, you will be delivering added value to pricing strategy development and implementation within an exciting digital business. You will have the skills and experience to make a significant contribution to a "Pricing Transformation Project" that is focused on moving pricing processes and execution from the current low level to a point where price optimisation strategies can be successfully implemented and realised.

You will be supporting business and sales leaders on a day to day basis as well undertaking detailed pricing analytics and strategy recommendations. This is a hands-on roll for someone who is looking to develop their pricing experience in an exciting PE backed global organisation.

Key Tasks and Activities

Pricing Strategy Development & Implementation
  • Development of price optimisation strategies based on understanding segmentation of willingness to pay within business units and channels
  • Implementation of price optimisation strategies through pricing tools, process and training
  • Sales training and communications on value-based pricing and links to sales process
  • Alignment of pricing strategies with the different value propositions - new and existing
  • Management and implementation of pricing strategies by channels - ex. Mid-market
  • Management of pricing and promotions including creating packages/bundles

Pricing Analytics and Insight
  • Usage of salesforce to understand opportunity details / status
  • Extract data from salesforce for as required data and pricing analysis
  • Interpretation of tableau data to make pricing recommendations (strategy/deals)
  • Development of tableau pricing dashboards to improve insight and decision making
  • Working closely with data analytics team to ensure capture of required data

Pricing Process & Governance Development & Implementation
  • Management of the Pricing and Commercial DoA process
  • On-going analysis for performance vs. Pricing and Commercial DoA Process within O2C team
  • Proactive stakeholder management and engagement with sales at all levels across all countries/regions
  • Proactive cross functional stakeholder management and engagement - product / finance / O2C / leadership team
  • Management of the pricing process across all channels - Online, Mid-Market, Enterprise, Partners and Distribution
  • Implementation and tracking of YoY annual price increases of renewals
  • Management of Pricing Inbox for pricing /commercial DoA reviews / approvals

Key Deliverables
  • Monthly pricing analysis dashboard and reporting to the Pricing Leadership Team
  • Sales Qtrly pricing performance dashboards for each BU's Qtrly Business Reviews
  • Monthly pricing governance performance review with CFO/CRO
  • Monthly updates to pricing optimisation solution
  • Input to Monthly Pricing Review with CEO/CFO/CRO
  • Price optimisation analytics and strategy recommendations to product management

Key Stakeholders

Pro-active cross functional stakeholder management:
  • Sales leaders and account managers totalling ~350 people across all regions
  • Product management team in UK and the US
  • Finance team in the UK
  • Senior leadership team CFO/CRO in the UK and US
  • Order 2 Cash team in Thames Ditton
  • Sales operations team in the regions
  • IT team in Thames Ditton

What are we looking for?

An experienced Senior Analyst or Manager, working in a commercial or consulting role within an Enterprise Software, Software as a Service or data/technology centric businesses. You may be a CIMA qualified accountant with exposure to commercial decision making and ideally you will have exposure to international business management. You are likely to be a graduate at degree and possibly MBA level or demonstrate equivalent work experience.

Technical skills

You will be an experienced user of Tableau and Excel for data manipulation. Ideally you will have user experience of Salesforce.
