This is a fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Group Consolidation Accountant based in Manchester.  The Group Consolidation Accountant plays a key role in the preparation and consolidation of the ITV plc Group results, helping to ensure the financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.  

The successful candidate will support the monitoring and continuous improvement of the consolidation and reporting process and system (Oracle’s Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS) application).  

Having recently moved to FCCS, this is a brand new role which brings with it an exciting opportunity to shape and grow processes and deliver improvements linked to the monthly Oracle Roadmap.

Some Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the preparation of ITV’s Group Consolidated financial statements, including review of divisional submissions and calculating, booking and tracking consolidation adjustments

  • Liaise with ITV’s subsidiaries across the world to ensure a timely and accurate close 

  • Drive FCCS systems improvements and implementations

  • Owner of FCCS Balance Sheet trial balance, ensuring fully reconciled each month. 

  • Ensure the Intercompany accounting process and policy guidelines are adhered to, and any discrepancies  are resolved/understood in a timely manner

  • Support the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation in relation to group consolidation adjustments

  • Attend FCCS subsidiary working group calls, actively contribute by providing accounting guidance & updates to month end close process as appropriate

  • Provide training to new users of FCCS

  • Understand, and communicate fixes to subsidiaries to clear all FCCS control accounts

  • Reconcile equity on a monthly basis, including currency reserve and NCI reconciliations

  • Process FX Overrides or opening balance adjustments through FCCS

  • Process Prior Year Sub Stat adjustments through FCCS to ensure accurate group impact in current year

  • Assist FP&A teams with queries on FCCS journals & Eliminations impacting Management Reported numbers

  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the group


To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA preferable). 

  • Financial Accounting background with demonstrable experience on producing IFRS accounts and disclosures.

  • Strong system consolidation and reporting knowledge of FCCS, HFM or comparable system based consolidation tool

  • Ability to identify, lead and deliver improvements (systems & process)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience of complex group consolidation (multi-currency)
