DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
All 4 is Channel 4's video-on-demand proposition, home to original and exclusive shows, box sets of iconic series, as well as live and catch up TV from C4's broadcast channels.

Available as an app on over 20 different platforms including mobiles, tablets, PCs, TVs and games consoles, as well as being syndicated to the likes of Sky and Virgin, All 4 reaches over 5 million monthly viewers and has more than half of all 16-34s in the UK as registered users.

The All 4 Product team is responsible for creating the best possible user experience on owned-and-operated platforms, one that is both seamless and engaging, and that encourages visitors to become viewers, to view more, and to return more often.

ROLE PURPOSE
The core purpose of the Head of Growth is to drive our active viewer metrics across the Product; increasing customer acquisition, retention and revenue (through All 4+ our premium tier).

Our aim is to get our registered user base of 23m to do more with All 4, be that visit more often, watch more brands or sign up to All 4+.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a team to deliver against the defined Growth Strategy ensuring that metrics are being tracked and team output and effectiveness is being communicated across the business.
  • Own new user metrics. Overseeing the testing and implementation of new onboarding strategies to help encourage new users to convert to loyal users and positively impact metrics.
  • Develop an audience targeting strategy that helps drive user retention across our apps, working closely with Data Science and Marketing to align our approach and develop test plans to prove effectiveness.
  • Own and define user retention metrics. Oversee the development of retention strategies and testing plans to support our key audience segments and key retention journeys.
  • Business owner of All 4+ responsible for achieving member and revenue targets. Leading a cross-organisational team to continue to grow All 4+ through acquisition and retention, as well as day-to-day responsibility for the running of this business unit.
  • Oversee the evolution of our CRM strategy to help drive our active viewer metrics, as well as driving up Marketing opt-in rates.
  • Be the key point of interface working with Marketing teams across all relevant channels to drive greater active reach for All 4.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Previous experience of working within a subscription business, ideally within the entertainment or media space.
  • A strong understanding of subscription metrics and what good looks like.
  • Is obsessive about data and using it to tell compelling stories and solving complex problems.
  • Proven line-management experience and the ability to influence and motivate both direct and virtual teams by setting a clear direction.
  • Experience of working with Product and Technology teams to scope and deliver digital Product experiences.
  • Prior experience of representing major brands below the line, CRM experience very desirable along with Performance Marketing skill set.
  • A strong knowledge of data protection and permission-based marketing.
  • Consistently displays excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience of developing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholder.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage a diverse workload.
  • Is passionate about the C4 remit and content.
