To help us deliver this ambitious vision, we are now looking for Head of Housing Services to inspire and provide strategic direction and leadership for the delivery of lettings, tenancy, estate management and legal services.

The Role

In this role no two days are the same. Joining us at a significant period of change in our history you’ll be working in conjunction with our Director of Housing and play a key role in developing the strategic priorities within Housing Services for our customers. As both an inspirational and highly motivated leader you will be directly responsible for helping us to deliver change and a high performing and truly customer focused culture.

You will work alongside key strategic partners such as our Head of Income Services to ensure income is managed successfully helping to improve the lives of our customers by sustaining their tenancies. You will also work closely alongside our Customer Engagement, Property Services and Repairs teams to ensure we continue providing an excellent and sector leading service.

You will also use your experience to ensure that housing services are delivered on time, value for money is achieved and they are within budget and to agreed standards. This will include the opportunity for you to be directly involved in managing and negotiating local authority and external organisation housing contracts.

Collaborating with our Growth and Development team you will also help to identify suitable development opportunities within our key growth regions. This work will directly add value in our long term aim of fulfilling sustainable tenancies and demand.

This highly varied role would ideally suit an ambitious housing professional confident in working on and delivering key objectives and projects directly linked to our Improving Lives 2025 strategy.

About You

Having developed your career within the Housing sector you will bring significant knowledge and experience of leading a high performing housing department. Your application will demonstrate a proven track record in developing and implementing housing strategy. Holding a relevant professional or leadership qualification would be desirable in this role.

With an eye for detail you are have a natural flair for reviewing complex issues and being able to provide sound, professional and reliable advice, whilst encouraging innovation. You have a proven experience in delivering results and you’ll be able to confidently talk through where you have achieved success at both your application and interview stage.
