To support continued delivery of excellent service levels and our logistics roadmap, we have a fantastic opportunity for a fixed term contract Head of Logistics role to lead our DC and Inbound Logistics teams for 12 months. The role is key to ensuring service levels across warehouse operations and inbound logistics teams are met and improved; continuous improvement plans are met; and the development of a team of five is continued. Working alongside the wider operations and logistics teams, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day alongside the team roadmap. The role requires high levels of commercial insight, ecommerce operations experience, analytical skills, leadership within high performing teams, and a passion for improving the operations experience for our customers and business.

  • You will have Logistics Management experience within retail or ecommerce industry;
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in warehouse logistics and freight supply chains, including 3PL management, contract management and process improvement;
  • Be passionate about the customer and all elements of the customer experience;
  • Attentive to detail and be quick to act with a proactive and logical approach to problem solving and focused on embedding corrective action which stays in the long-term;
  • Be passionate in driving excellent standards and service;
  • Demonstrate strong financial and commercial acumen;
  • Highly analytical and capable of providing fast and accurate information, relevant for the audience;
  • Able to demonstrate levels of judgment in knowing what corrective action to take, when to escalate and when to manage independently;
  • Perceptive in pre-empting issues before they arise;
  • Effective in communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders (verbal and written), explaining complex issues and processes in a clear, concise and measured manner;
  • Able to switch seamlessly between tasks and adapt quickly to new conditions, strategies or role requirements;
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a dynamic operational environment individually and as part of a professional, high performing team;
  • Maintain performance under pressure;
  • Be confident, disciplined, resilient and tenacious;
  • Supply Chain experience in a fashion ecommerce environment is desired but not essential;
  • All applicants must hold the right to work in the UK.

  • Leading two areas of Logistics: A quality focused DC warehouse team and an Inbound Supply Chain team;
  • Ensuring all KPIs and service levels are met, with ongoing improvements;
  • Delivering improvements to Logistics Cost per Order and Speed to Market;
  • Managing the 3PL contracts and leading the tenders when up for renewal;
  • Developing business cases for continuous improvement initiatives and supporting team members to be self-sufficient;
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders (e.g. Warehouse, Stores, Studio, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Finance, Tech, etc.)
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture and drive programmes across the warehouse and wider business related to stock management, identifying opportunities to cost by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the supply chain process, whilst increasing speed to market;
  • Mentor and develop the internal DC and Inbound Supply Chain Logistics teams to lead a highly performing team and ensure development plans remain on track;
