Reporting into the ecommerce director at MATCHESFASHION, you will define, implement and drive the online Marketing, Traffic and Customer Acquisition strategy worldwide, in conjunction with the Executive team. You'll drive the increased exploitation of digital channels to support sales and marketing in all markets, ensuring rapid scale - and future scalability - and full control through automation. Your remit includes, but is not limited to, PPC, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Retargeting, App downloads,... as well as the analytics and tracking supporting those channels. Furthermore, as the business grows in scale and sophistication, we plan on evolving our approach quickly, for example, including customer lifetime value as a key metric - you will be a crucial driver of these changes at the forefront of how we evolve our marketing function.


Working closely with the eCommerce Director you will:
  • Develop the online worldwide go-to-market plan, owning and managing the online marketing budget, and deciding on the optimum spend allocation across countries and channels (PPC, SEO, Display, RTB, Paid Media and Analytics),
  • Monitor, automate and optimize performance of each marketing channel; driving opportunities for improvement,
  • Liaise very closely with the different departments, especially Trading, Merchandising and Brand Marketing, to ensure a product and customer centric approach to marketing,
  • Ensure all campaigns are reflecting the luxury character of the business and all creative and messaging are fully on brand and with our customer at heart,
  • Analyze and produce clear, regular and accurate reports on all online marketing activities,
  • Select and support implementation of appropriate tools to run online marketing operations more efficiently,
  • Provide up to date knowledge of industry developments and translate them into the MATCHESFASHION strategy,
  • Develop our digital marketing strategy over time,
  • Manage a team composed of inhouse heads and external agencies,
  • As a Process Owner in relation to GDPR, be accountable for following the Privacy Impact Assessments Procedure, following the Digital Control Procedure, and adhering to your role in the MATCHESFASHION Incident Management Procedure,
  • Fulfil obligations as a Contract Owner as outlined in the Data Privacy Manual.


ABOUT YOU: (Key skills and Attributes of the ideal candidate)
  • Extensive online marketing and traffic acquisition experience either agency or client side at an international level - in the Luxury Fashion industry a strong plus,
  • Experience across platforms / online marketing channels (e.g. PPC, Affiliates, Social); experience of optimising across paid and organic traffic,
  • International experience of key platforms and dynamics, particularly UK, Europe, North America, Middle East, Asia-Pacific,
  • Strong track record in driving, and future proofing, rapid scale and control through robust automation,
  • Strong focus on ROI and efficiency of campaigns, with experience in driving forward CLTV based optimisations,
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to mix short term ROI with longer term payback, when relevant. Comfortable using data to make decisions, both tactical and strategic,
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken and a willingness to engage effectively across the business,
  • Flexible with the ability to react positively to rapidly evolving business requirements,
  • Good project management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks,
  • Experience within a multi-channel retail environment preferred,
  • Proven track record of supporting and adding value to business projects through Online Marketing strategy,
  • Results focused, and action oriented to prioritise speed - to enable driving our performance marketing agenda at pace,
  • Strong overall management and leadership skills.
