Department Summary

The strategy team is responsible for architecting connected experiences that deliver a commercial advantage for our clients. Working with our colleagues in data, performance media and platforms & products, we define the strategies for memorable, useful and effective customer experiences. This means interrogating business challenges and unearthing customer insight so we can find new ways to help our clients grow.

Job Description

This is a leadership role that will be diverse, challenging and exciting. But to sum up the opportunity, we are looking for a Head of Strategy to do 3 big, juicy things:

1.GROWTH:Realise our growth strategy by leading the development of - and cultivating the environment for - connected experience strategies that allow us to sell multiple strategic services to existing and prospective clients. A key part of this will be developing our customer engagement strategy practice, in conjunction with the Head of Customer Engagement

2.WORK:Blend our diverse skillsets and capabilities in new ways to produce future-facing, exciting and effective work for our clients - work that makes the industry sit up and take notice

3.TALENT:Develop the next generation of connected experience strategists; all-rounders who are able to connect the end to end experience by blending different disciplines and 'modes of strategy' - in other words, people in the industry who want to do things a bit differently

We are looking for an inspirational and energetic, silo-busting leader. Someone who loves people, connecting the dots, is always up for a challenge and has fun while they do it.


We are looking for someone who:
  • Has wide ranging experience / exposure across CRM, digital platforms/products, brand communications and media and has blended those ingredients to deliver more effective strategies
  • Has depth of experience in customer engagement strategy and has built up a practice / capability / portfolio of work in that area
  • Has generated significant organic client growth through strategy
  • Is a great pitcher, having won and lead major client pitches
  • Has experience in attracting and cultivating high performing teams
  • Has enhanced their agency/department's reputation through great thinking/work
  • Is able to manage complex operational issues
  • Is a clear, engaging and inspiring communicator
