Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure all SCSRailways staff and Supply Chain staff are fully onboarded and competent tocarry out their duties for the duration of the project. You will be reportinginto the Head of People and will be responsible for a training & onboardingteam, which will coordinate all project training & onboarding activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for the SCS Training & Onboarding strategy, ensuring it aligns with all relevant Stakeholders, such as HS2, the Joint Venture (JV) Parent Companies, Operational Leads, Supply Chain and Health Safety & Security team
    Management of the Competency Management Plan and SQEP Procedures.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, management and development of the onboarding & training team
  • Accountable for ensuring all staff and supply chain are onboarded correctly and safely in line with project requirements
    Schedule and roll out training programmes and plan accordingly to coincide with project needs
  • Responsible for the creation and ongoing management of the SCS Training Matrix
  • Lead on overall onboarding &training budget, forecasting, spend and total hours, completing monthly reports for Senior Management
  • Oversee training & onboarding processes, systems, documents, policies and procedures, templates and communications
  • Work with the supply chain to ensure all subcontractor staff meet minimum training & onboarding requirements
  • Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project

Required qualifications, skills, behaviours and attributes
  • Experience of managing a large team which supports a large scale workforce (essential)
  • Construction industry experience (essential)
  • Process-orientated
