Competitive hourly rate dependant on qualifications, driving licence and experience plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Overtime will be paid at time and a half, with bank holidays being paid at double time.
Location - Cambridge, CB4 0DN
Hours - 48 hours Monday to Friday.
What you’ll do
As a Workshop Mechanic / Technician in Veolia you are expected to:
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs.
Conduct maintenance activities which promote vehicle safety, reliability and availability.
Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
Use modern IT systems to complete job cards / time sheets etc.
Attend various training and courses in-order to maintain and enhance your knowledge and understanding of; modern vehicles, diagnostic platforms, H&S etc.
Experience you will need
Be qualified to a minimum of a level 2 (NVQ, C&G or IRTEC equivalent) in a vehicle related qualification.
Have a driving licence and be willing and capable of attaining a HGV C ,C+E
Have your own, comprehensive, tools.
Be apprentice trained.
Experience in the HGV or PSV industry.
An IRTEC qualification
Ideally hold an LGV class C or C+E driving licence.

Where you’ll work
Veolia are looking for a HGV Mechanic / Technician to join our friendly team to service and
repair our fleet of modern HGV’s, vans and trailers at our Cambridge workshop.
Our modern workshops deliver front line preventative maintenance to our commercial / municipal business partners; who utilise various transport options including RCV’s, Hook and Skip Loaders, vans and trailers.
