Department Covered: Cleaning Services

Locations: Queens Medical centre (NG7 2UH)

Pay Rates £9.21 weekdays, £12.98 Sats, £16.85 Suns and bank holidays. + accrued holiday pay

Shift pattern: 5 days per week including most weekends,7 week rolling rotas (rota attached to advert). Various shift availability- 07:30 - 13:30, 14:00 - 20:00, 15:30 - 21:30, 16:00 - 20:00

Duration: Ongoing Temporary (subject to reviews)

We have long term placement opportunities available for Domestic Staff at Nottingham University NHS Trust specifically who will be required to undertake the following.

Job Summary:

To be part of a Cleaning Services team that provides and always maintains the highest standard of service to patients, visitors and staff, ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care.

Undertakes allocated tasks in a flexible, efficient manner working within defined rotas and work schedules according to Trust and departmental policies and procedures.

General responsibilitiesinclude the following. List not exhaustive.
  • Cleaning of all hard and soft floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings and surfaces.
  • Cleaning of all sanitary, bathroom and shower facilities.
  • Replenishment of disposable commodities, i.e. toilet rolls, soap, gel and hand towels as required.
  • Removal of waste from wards and departments to designated collection points.
  • Making up of on-call and relatives overnight stay beds.
  • Ad hoc cleaning of spillages.
  • Changing of bed curtains, window curtains and screen curtains
  • Cleaning of infected room/bays in accordance with NUH Infection Control & Prevention Policy
  • Receive, check and put away cleaning materials
  • Informing the Ward Team/Cleaning Services Team Leaders if any equipment is in need of maintenance and repair
