COVID-19 We recognise that the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted on people in different ways. Please be reassured that at DCHS we understand this and have a risk assessment process in place, where this is needed, to ensure your safety.

Exciting opportunities have arisen to be part of DCHS Hotel Services team.

What really matters to us is providing every one of our patients with an excellent experience, a service that really cares and one that delivers the right outcome and we achieve this every day.

As a Hotel Services Assistant, you will become an active member of our team working closely with other disciplines.

We are looking for enthusiastic team members who are eager to learn and to develop themselves and work flexibly across our sites to support service delivery.

Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided. However a full, clean driving licence is essential.

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and want to make a difference to our patients' experience and who demonstrate values and personal qualities that support the DCHS way of working.

There are two posts available: 2 x 20 hours per week, both are on a fixed term basis for 6 months.

These are generic posts, working in various areas of our service as required, eg portering and domestic duties.

The posts will be based at St Oswald's Hospital, Ashbourne but the post holder will be required to work flexibly across the South Derbyshire localities in hospital and health centre settings and work a variety of shifts: earlies, lates or even nights (including some weekends), depending on service demands.

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS) is one of the largest providers of specialist community healthcare in England and we currently employ around 4,500 staff. We deliver a variety of services across Derbyshire, caring for nearly 1.8 million patients each year.

We deliver patient care through 11 community hospitals, 4 minor injury units, 29 health centres and a learning disability centre. Another key part of our service is out in the community where we care for people in their own homes via therapists, health visitors and district nurses, and promoting public health in the wider community. As a Trust we care for patients of all ages with a special focus on the needs of elderly people and the very young.

DCHS has been recognised as a top 10 NHS organisation to work for in the UK by the Health Service Journal and NHS Employers in their Best Places to Work 2015 campaign. The Trust is also the runner-up in the category for the best NHS community trust employer.
