  • About the Role....
The post of the Housekeeping Assistant at the Renal Unit is to ensure the cleanliness of all areas within the unit are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, environmental cleanliness and appearance.

Successful candidates will work using a variety of equipment in order to carry out the full range of cleaning services required.

What we're looking for.....

You will be able to follow written and verbal instructions regarding use of cleaning chemicals and will be able to demonstrate both the ability to prioritize tasks and the ability to work with minimum supervision, reporting to the ward Sister/Facilities Section Leader. Ideally you will also have basic food hygiene knowledge and an understanding of excellent customer service. Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable.

You will be expected to treat patients, service users and carers with courtesy, care and compassion at all times, treating each person as an individual by offering a personalised service. Trust staff will adopt behaviours and attitudes which promote, supports and respects privacy and dignity in accordance with the Trust Dignity policies and dignity in care pledges. Staff are expected to challenge poor practice in relation to dignity and treat each other with respect".
