To provide secretarial and administrative support to the WOD team ensuring discretion and confidentiality at all times. Duties will consist of typing letters, diary management, taking notes on behalf of formal internal panels and taking accurate minutes and action logs in Workforce and Organisational Development (WOD) forums and collation and interpretation of data.

The post holder will be required to operate efficiently and effectively, providing proactive administrative support and smoothly co-ordinate day-to-day secretarial arrangements for the team.

The post holder will be a first point of contact for internal and external calls, responding in a tactful and courteous manner, prioritising the issues and helping to make decisions concerning appropriate information disclosure and adhering to timescales. The post holder will work closely with the WOD officers teams to ensure incoming calls are correctly triaged and directed on appropriately to provide a high quality response. The post holder will also provide a response to service users, as appropriate, and to support customer service and efficiency.

The post holder plays a key role in making arrangements for WOD meetings and hearings, and will liaise with internal staff as appropriate. The post holder will also liaise with trade union partners to arrange meetings.

The post holder will provide support to the WOD team to produce formal packs for employee relations cases and the distribution of confidential papers.

The post holder will support the administrative process of preparing and organising for Employee Relations hearings, such as Disciplinary and Appeal hearings. The post holder may be required on occasion to be the note taker at formal hearings.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
