As HR Project Leader (Employee Relations) for the NW&C Region, you will require a strong background in employee relations case work, with a focus on long term sick and grievances. You will be required to provide professional, expert, face to face Human Resources advice, coaching and support when dealing with complex employee relations cases across NW&C. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and deliver targeted line manager up-skilling programmes whilst working closely with the HR Business Partners and company-wide initiatives. They will also be able to manage a large and diverse caseload whilst creating and maintaining strong relationnships and communication channels with managers and HR Business Partners.
This is an expression of interest for any future vacancies that may arise and will be based in either Birmingham or Manchester.About the role (External)

1. Deliver remit and success criteria of HR case management.

2. Manage the development and delivery of HR cases in compliance with company processes and procedures.

3. Manage the production of project management plans for HR case projects.

4. Establish and manage collaborative cross-functional virtual relationships with all key stakeholders.

5. Deliver regular progress reports, including relevant risks and issues.

6. Manage project budgets within agreed targets.

7. Promote and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods.

8. Disseminate lessons learnt.

Essential

• Experience of working in change projects

• Understanding of applying project methodologies

Desirable

• Educated to degree level

• Member of project association

• Commercial and financial awareness.

• Knowledge of the principles of investment processes and procedures.

• Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry

We adhere to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: £32,740 and increasing to £36,832. Initially the returners programme is to be offered on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.
