ICT Infrastructure Engineer
We are the Equality and Human Rights Commission. We stand up for freedom, compassion and justice in changing times. We do it by promoting and upholding equality and human rights ideals and laws across England, Scotland and Wales. Our work is driven by a simple belief; if everyone gets a fair chance in life, we all thrive.
The Infrastructure Team provide the foundations upon which the ICT services for The Commission are developed and operate. Our purpose is to deliver secure, effective and cost-efficient ICT infrastructure services that support our business objectives. We do this by putting users and quality of service at the heart of what we do.
We are a small team of colleagues working collaboratively across a wide range of IT disciplines to deliver the right level of service to our staff and citizens in a fast-moving technology landscape.
We are now looking for someone exceptional to join our ICT team who shares our values of fairness, dignity and respect and can work with us to build upon our achievements and ensure our vision becomes a reality.
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer you will provide support to the IT team as we undertake an exciting, yet challenging, project to migrate our IT services and software to Microsoft cloud technology. You will be a skilled practitioner in Microsoft 365 services, including the Office 365 suite, MS Teams as well as having good awareness of the Microsoft Azure infrastructure platform and general administration.
Working closely with other colleagues and partner organisations, you will be instrumental in delivering these new services to colleagues, including ensuring that best practices are adhered to, with a focus on operational stability, security, availability and quality.
