Summary

At Facebook, we're developing the future of AR/VR displays. As an R&D Hardware Metrology and Measurements Development Engineer, your job will be in figuring out how we need to measure it. You will work closely with internal research teams, academic institutions, external partners and vendors. You will help define requirements and deliverables, schedule and track project progress. To be successful, you will eliminate barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating their work to all stakeholders. Ideal team members are adaptable and resilient, eager to approach unfamiliar problems with curiosity and tenacity, and able to find ways to help our research teams be more efficient.

Required Skills

  • Work with process and device integration engineers to systematically identify key parameters that need to be measured and controlled to build a stable and repeatable process
  • Plan, design and validate new or improved methods or equipment to measure or control key parameters that affect micro-LED development and product yield and efficiency.
  • Work as part of a team to develop performance and yield improvements for micro-LED development and production.
  • Expect to travel domestically and internationally


Minimum Qualification

  • BS/MS in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineer, Physics or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Highly-motivated and goal-oriented, and able to function in a dynamic research and development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with reliable consistency, care, safety and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Semiconductor Metrology and Measurements equipment (eg CD-SEM, Scatterometry, Ellipsometry, X-ray, AFM, FIB, XDS, EDS etc).
  • Understanding of semiconductor processing and integration.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical ability.


Preferred Qualification

  • Background in LED or micro-LED processing and control.
  • Experience with MES and Factory Systems and SPC.
  • ractical experience identifying and implementing methods and equipment for micro-LED performance measurement.
  • Organizational and leadership ability
  • Excellent communication skills
