ROLE:

To support our growth and Brexit plans, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Inbound Freight Manager to join our Logistics team. The role is key to ensuring all third parties are ready to support in our plans for international deliveries whilst improving speed to market for MATCHESFASHION. Through 3rd party contract management, collaboration across Supply Chain teams and developing internal processes, the Inbound Freight Manager will scale our inbound operations and ensure 3PLs are Brexit-ready.

  • Global intake management working alongside wider Logistics, Warehouse and Compliance teams as well as Buying and Merchandise teams.
  • Management of our Global 3PL partners associated with the movement of goods to our Distribution Centre, ensuring appropriate processes and procedures are developed and maintained to support current and future business needs.
  • Work with 3PLs to deliver service improvements, cost savings and win-win initiatives, keeping the "luxury experience" at the heart of every decision.
  • Ensure accurate operational planning activities are completed and that information is shared in a timely manner with 3PL and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate reporting for operational service and cost KPI's with appropriate actions identified and carried out where required.Develop inbound compliance reporting to support speed to market and import compliance.
  • Map out end-to-end processes to support training and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the training of the B&M teams on their understanding of the supply chain, systems/visibility of intake and Incoterms.
  • Supported by the Head of Logistics, lead inbound freight workstream in cross-functional Brexit readiness forums, ensuring 3PLs partners are Brexit-ready.
  • Review, develop and create operational peak plans with our 3PL to deliver two successful peaks each year.
  • Managing regular freight tender process with the Procurement, whilst delivering cost savings and conducting benchmarking exercises throughout the year.Support Compliance, Events and Logistics teams for any ad-hoc delivery requirements, maintaining relationships and processes to quickly meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders (e.g. Logistics, Compliance, Procurement, Buying & Merchandising, Finance, Tech, etc.)
  • Support & development of direct report.
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture and drive programmes across the supply chain identifying opportunities to cost by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the supply chain process, whilst increasing speed to market.


Requirements

  • You will have excellent attention to detail;

  • Maintain performance under pressure;
  • Be confident, disciplined and tenacious;
  • Capable in providing fast and accurate information;
  • Demonstrate ability to manage a 3PL / logistics provider;
  • Previous experience in global import supply chain functions;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of standard freight terms;
  • Passion for driving excellent standards and service;
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques;
  • Adapting to changing priorities comes as second nature;
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a dynamic operational environment individually and as part of a professional team;
  • Ability to lead and coordinate activities based on business and operational priorities;
  • Understand 'what good looks like' and maintain standards through leading by example;
  • Capable of planning and multi-tasking to complete assignments;
  • Demonstrate a solution focused approach to analysing challenges and issues as they arise - think \"Out the Box\" if a tangible benefit can be gained;
  • An ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders of all levels across the business (verbal and written), explaining complex issues and processes in a clear, concise and measured manner;
  • Supply Chain experience in a fashion and ecommerce environment is desired but not essential; and
  • All applicants must hold the right to work in the UK.
