Duties & Responsibilities
Our Industrial Placement Programme within Procurement will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership difference and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands on experience with real projects. You will also receive relevant on the job training.Within Procurement, the placement student will support various activities across the Department and gain experience of how Group Procurement supports and delivers value to John Lewis Partnership.
Tasks will include supporting procurement projects, managing tender activity, data analysis, supplier and stakeholder communications as well as general administrative duties required to support procurement activities across the Partnership.It is expected that the successful candidate will be a member of the Procurement Development Team, and spend time rotating through assignment roles in other teams in Supply Base Management, Purchasing, Category Management, Governance, Process, and Systems.Project work will involve visiting and working with other teams and suppliers throughout the Partnership across areas such as IT, Marketing, Professional Services (e.g. Personnel, Legal and Health Care), Retail Operations, Distribution, and Property.
Required essential experience skills and qualifications
The minimum application requirements are as follows:As part of your degree, be able to take a year out in industry commencing July 2020The assessment centre for this role will be held in November 2019.
