Meta is seeking an experienced sales leader with demonstrated success managing large business categories on a national and long-term scale. The Industry Manager will manage the teams of the Client Partners and Client Solution Managers who provide Meta''s marketing solutions to the large clients in the industries as E-Commerce, Tech & Telcos. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for their clients and their teams. The person will build and manage consultative sales teams, selling Meta''s suite of advertising solutions to leading clients who represent each industry. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, successfully managed sales teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have a consistent management experience as well as extensive experience selling (or buying) online marketing solutions such as direct response, branding, social, search, affiliation and display advertising.

Industry Manager, Platforms, Tech and Telco, Japan Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with In-Market teams, Scaled team, Global Category team, Business Planning & Operations, Marketing Science, Creative Shop and Business Product Marketing to optimize our client efforts
  • Consult with Product Marketing to help shape product development in support of client needs
  • Guide the creation of persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Meta to clients for both B2C and B2B marketing
  • Identify the winning strategies and scale the insights throughout the vertical
  • Scale the team's impact by driving key automation and productivity initiatives to increased effectiveness and efficiency
  • Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
  • Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Meta, including a good understanding of working with advertisers and agencies
  • Build, train and maintain a high performing team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years marketing and sales experience
  • 5+ years digital media sales experience
  • 5+ years of coaching/mentoring experience
  • Experience driving revenue growth with emerging opportunities and established partnerships
  • Play the lead role in developing the client acquisition strategy
  • Strong leadership/management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience using advertising data to craft media strategy
  • Strong understanding of the advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends
  • Fluency in English and Japanese is required to be able to work with our partners who are based in these countries and would be speaking in their native language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of people management experience
